Me and my wife just making moved to a new house and I have a new area I am growing in. Trying to come up with an idea to catch the water the drains out of the bottom of the pots. I've attached pictures of what my plants are setting on and the room I have underneath the shelves. After these plants are done I have plans on changing everything around just had to hurry up and throw something together to get the plants back under lights.

I use boot trays. I think it's a 15x30" that i use primarily. I have several, in a couple sizes. heavy vinyl rectangular tray. If you poke around Amazon you can find them from $5-10 each on prime. They work great. There are other sizes too.

What do you out under your pots to keep them out of the water?

Do you have a drain hose coming out the bottom of the tray or how do you drain the water out of your trays once they will with water?

I use wire racks like you would cool cookies on. I am using a boot tray at the moment but have used regular plant drip trays and plastic dollar store trays.

I soak it up with a sponge and squeeze the sponge into a bucket. Cheap and easy.

The trays have mild ridges, and the water evaporates pretty quick. If I'm watering heavy enough (like, if I want to flush) I'll just put the plants in the bathtub til they finish dribbling. But in general, standing water hasn't been an issue.
