Get a lil fan on her... that'll help her stay standing up.... what kinda lights are you using? the pics don't show much light shining on her.

i actually had to take her to my computor to get these pics so this is not my grow room. later when i find my digital camera i will document my grow space. ther is a fan lightly blowing on her just enough to give her a light shudder. im using 2 cheap 3' florecents that i bought at spencers gifts years ago

Ok, are you working with a little budget or no budget at all? Get us some more info on the room and how you take care of your babies. If you can afford a can of paint get some flat white and paint the walls. What kind of fixture do you have? What are the lumens on your bulbs? Your not using fertilizer or nutes yet are you? And in your month of growing is that when you first started to germinate the seed or was it when it was planted in dirt? Help us help you. We need more info.

ok well at the moment it is a no budget untill the state of ohio starts sending me my unemployment money.hopefully this comming week.this is kind of my off-season project.
im growing in a 3'x4'x6' armoire that i have lined with aluminum foil(dull side)
the only info that i can get from the light is ( F15 T8 CWop02) i have no idea what that means.im a chef not an electrician.
i germinated in soil(read it on another web site) started november 5. in a home made greenhouse made from 2 water bottles. transplanted to 1/2 gallon container november 12.
i am using miracle grow potting soil straight from the bag.
have not started any nutrients or firtalizers but i have been playing with the idea of getting guano from bat cave in my back yard. can i use it straight from nature, or do i need to do something to it first?
was on a 24/7 light cycle but went to 18/6 when i noticed the leaves starting to brown at the tips(to soon to tell if it is going to help).
i check it anywhere from 3 to 6 times a day and water anywhere from a cup to 1 1/2 cups depending on the soil.
dont know what other info i can give but if im leaving anything out let me know and i will answer to the best of my knowledge

Well, you look like you have some decent size pots there. Are you watering everyday? It would be good to only water them when they need it. Let the soil dry out a bit. You might be over-watering. But overall consitering it's been less than a month since you started to germinate I think your doing pretty good so far. As far as the lights go I couldn't tell you either. And he bat guano, well this is what I have read about it...
Newer bat guano is high in nitrogen, good for veggie stage. It's easily over used do to it's high content. Some bat guano is thousands of years old. It's high in phosphorus and good for flowering. They said to take some cloth and and a bucket of water. Put the guano on the cloth and wrap it up to form a bag around it and make it into a "tea bag". Then dip the guano into the bucket and aggitate it a lil. Let it sit for a while and aggitate some more. You know I think it said to use a nylon stocking. That book is at home so I am going off of memory from over a year ago. I don't know how long they said to do this for. I think it was a few days. This is of course a lot of guano we are talking here. Hope that helps man.

Hey Night501, good to meetcha. Welcome to our group. It sounds like you're doing ok, but I have no idea what those lights are either. Do they have a wattage printed on the bulb?

You want to use NO nutrients with the Miracle Grow potting soil. The Brothers Grunt are our Miracle Grow specialists and can tell you all about using it.

Everyone who has used additional nutes with the MG soil has reported nitrogen burn. The Bat crap is amazingly high in nitrogen. You don't want that stuff in the same room with your plants while using the MG soil. Plus, Bat crap is LOADED with other nasty stuff that could hurt you. When you buy it from a commercial dealer, it's been sterilized and any harmful impurities have been neutralized. Please leave the fresh stuff for the bats to play in.

If The Brothers Grunt haven't stepped in by tomorrow evening, drop them a quick line in a PM and ask them to take a look at your situation.

Good luck to you and once again, welcome to the family!

well 2 days after i changed the light cycle from 24/7 to 18/6 everything seens to be going as planed. the new growth on top seems to be exploding.
still have some browning on the tips of the old leavs but the new ones seem fine. finally named her "mary lane" after the chick in reefer madness the musical. being in dirt i figured it fit "yurns for, burns, for dirty love"

There are two reasons this could happen. One is that the room was too hot with your light on 24/7.

Or, the light was too close to the plants.

If they are growing well with the 18/6, then don't fool with success!

Grow on man! Good luck to you!

well she has changed enough to feel the need to take pictures. the new growth is doing nice. is it normal for the edges of the leaves to be almost white when they are unfolding?

Man, I wish you had a better camera. Something does not look right. And I don't know what it is. I can't see the color you are talking about, but the way the leaves are shaped don't look normal. It could be the picture quality of course. Try to get a backdrop behind the the plant and even light on it. You might be able to get a better pic. The computer in the backround aint helping the outcome. It looks like your leaves are bowed out between the the veins. This normally will happen from heat stress. Do you have a thermometer you can put in there where you have your plant? I am really wondering about the heat. You said you changed the light to 18/6 and it got better. I am wondering if you need to back up your light just a lil and get more fresh air in. put your hand where the top of your plant is. Is it really hot?

got the light about 4 inches away and my thermometer sais its between 70 and 80 f with the lights on and 65-70 f lights off.
here are some better pics

Good luck to you man!
