ok great info CG um one question is an open reflector where the hood doesnt completly cover the light kind of like the one Greenmachine90 has in that pic?

A open reflector has no method of cooling available, just as the one shown on the first page. A enclosed reflector will have glass between the bulb and canopy and will allow the ability to vent the heat out of the reflector through ducting.

Check out the link in my sig and you will see a enclosed reflector. Of course in the pictures I have I don't have the ducting hooked up, but ignore that.
