Light Spreader?

Anyone ever seen/used one of these? It's supposed to "increase yields up to 50%"

I'm using one but I'm doubting any 50% increase in yield nor am i expecting it. All it is designed to do is stop hot spots and to spread the light more evenly on the canopy so i have no idea how that equals a 50% increase. I can see a small increase though.

I also think they are about $20.00 to much for what it is. Mine was around $34.95 but I literally have the hoods glass on the top of the plants and all is good.
