I have some northern lights seeds that just sprouted and I just started the light cycle at 16 on 8 off. this is my first grow so I was wondering how far my lights should be from them so I dont harm them. I have 4 plants under a 400 w MH light

People I know have had problems starting the seeds on MH or HPS. I suggest buying a small Flouro to start seedlings. I have a 4 ft Flouro and it was only $10 at Home Depot and it works great for seedlings

yup cfls will be great..to start with the seeding too..

IMO 2-3 feet away and slowly lower as it grows. After approx the 5th node get it as close as possible.

Leave the CFL's in your ceiling

oh... and change your light cycle to 24/0 , 20/4 or 16/6.
I start seedlings with 24/0

16/6 did you mean 18/6 ?
if you have mh i would stay with it instead of buying floros ,,,keep them a couple of feet away,,then slowly lower them down and just watch the tips dont burn ,,,and plenty of ventalation,,,good luck :48:
