I liked this pic. The soft green against the dark. 💕

Did some rearranging in the auto tent. Added the small greenhouse frame. I reduced the size and the mounted t5 lamps can start the next group of seedlings. Trying to start a new set every 35-40days. The next autos I will start are 5 from Carty's bank. Soaking seed now

Autos Update

Mixed beans..Fastbuds

38-42days since breaking ground

Into the stretch they go.

These autos make you think they aren't going to grow and then...boom! It has been fun to watch them grow.

Feeding 850ppm TPS One nutrient. Environment is good. Onward we go.

Auto update

Devil Xxl

49-55days since breaking ground

These got flushed for overfeeding. Reset with TPS One 950ppm afterwards. This was a few days ago. I'll be backing down off the food next week. I learned a lot about autos with these. Made errors but that's okay. Better know how next run. Just a matter of a few weeks and I'll start looking at triches. I'm hoping they fatten up real good.

Fems Update

Day61 since breaking ground
Day21 since 12/12
Day14 flowering

I am pleased with the grow so far. One thing I'm not seeing is a big stretch going into flowering. At 14days I thought I'd see more but these act as if they are done with that and setting up to get fat and fill in.
When I put them in the 5gal buckets I had no choice but to damage the roots ripping them from the netpots. Unfortunate I had no choice but to do so. If ida left them in the dwc they would have surely died. I couldn't control the temps so I had to report into promix.

I do believe I'm going to get some nice bud from them but it appears they will be stunted and not much bigger than a normal large automatic.

Feeding them 1050ppm of the TPS One. Nothing else will be added. Leaf surface is 75-78°. Lamp 100% @ 18". Humidity bumps up to 60% after watering but eases back into 45% in a day. Not to concerned with that. I did a greenhouse grow with constant 95% + once. Ya just gotta keep air moving.

So what's your take on this? Think they are done with the stretch?

I been playing with some beans I gathered from dispensary pot. Finally got one to crack a tail and it has emerged from the medium in a 8oz cup. It's French Toast. We loved the strain and I'm kinda stoked the thing come up. I'm not holding my breath. She may hermies but I gotta grow this out to see.

Since the French Toast has come up I'm going to go ahead and soak more photos. I'll be adding.....

Cindy99...Growers Choice
Purple Haze...G13 Labs
Bruce Banner... I49 seed
G13 Haze... Barneys Farm

This may change a little as I go. Ya never know if a bean will crack. Failures be damned I'll have five ready for the 4x4 in early March. I'd planned on knocking down the 4x4 but I'm just having to much fun. I'll be starting a new thread for this batch.

Fems update

68 days from breaking ground
28days since 12/12
End of 21days flower

I sure would have liked to see them get bigger but I'll take it. They are doing well in flower so far. They are being fed TPS One only. The nutrient adjusts pH down to 5.9 so it's a pretty simple routine. Right now they consume 950-1050ppm and seem to be doing okay with it. The smell is starting to gain ground. Noticed it last night when I opened the tent.

Devil Xxl's Auto

These are all within a few weeks or more from harvest. I cruised right through the veg stage but as they flowered I am pretty sure I overfed. I did flush them last week but the damage is done. Now I see the same issue creeping into the Mixed lot from Fastbuds as they enter late flower. Oh well, I'm learning as I go with these. Eventually I'll get it right..lol

The oldest one has turned a shade of red in late flower. The calax are swelling nicely. A few more weeks and I'll start looking at her triches.

I've come to the conclusion that I've been doing things my way. In a sense I've been acting like a newbie grower. Yeah, I understand the basics but when I came back into growing I should have found a good grower and copied his or hers nutrient line and feeding schedule. That would have been a better approach to all this.

I'm doing okay with the photos so far but I'd really like to nail down the auto plants better. I like the auto plant. It's small, compact, buds fast, and the varieties are endless. So after this large photo grow I'm planning is complete. I'll be jumping back on the autos with a better understanding of how they grow and what they need.

Once the TPS Nutrients are gone I'm going with MasterBlend 3part. It's cheaper than TPS and will prob stretch a long way. I e also found a good grower who's helping me get on track with his program. No more guess work..lol.

Check out the thread Autos done Carty’s way. Lots of helpful info there.
I have checked out Carty's stuff. I'm just in search of a nutrient routine that will work better for me. So I'll copy another guys routine until I find my way. Why I didn't do this from the jump is beyond me.

@dogster and @Flower told me about the Jacks 20 20 20 a 4 pound tub is around 25 bucks on Amazon you use 1/2 tsp per gallon of water. It works great. Maybe you can look up their threads.

Dogster was pretty adamant about using peat moss with the Jacks nutrients for best results, Sunshine mix #4, to be precise.
IMG_4515.png

I have been using this with great results.
IMG_4514.png

I mix in 6 bags of this perlite, per 3 cubic foot bale.
IMG_4299.jpeg

I use the all purpose throughout veg.
Half teaspoon per gallon, every time you water. Every plant gets it, including seedlings.
The bloom booster I start using the day of flip. Same dosage.
I stop feeding Jacks a few days before chop, and give straight water to flush.
Once in a while, I have a plant in veg that looks like it needs a shot of CalMag, when this happens, I feed that plant bloom booster for a couple feedings, and it always takes care of it.
I never Ph anything. I have had nothing but perfect results doing this.
It doesn’t get any simpler than this.
I will be running an auto or two in the upcoming months, I have no intention of treating them any different.
