I have heard of people doing that. I have never done it myself though. If you think about it though. When grown outside, most grass is harvested in late september or early October. This means the plants began flowering, on average, 8 weeks before then. That puts them in early August. I don't know the specs of day/night, but I'm sure it is around 14/10. Be careful. If you are just starting out, I would try one run "by the books".
