strange spots

I came home today and noticed these spots on the crown. check the pic..... could the light be too close? i have a 400W Metal Halide thats about 7-8 Inches from the top.
It was not like this last night.....
The olny part of her that this is happining to is the crown. ... thoughts?..

Your light is way too close. A 400 should be about 18 inches from the top of the plant canopy.

The burnt leaves won't heal, but the new growth will be fine.
