There is a man made water way that goes through the complex I live in. There are all sorts of ducks, animals and fish that thrive in this environment. Would it be smart to use this water for my plants.

personaly i wouldnt, you never know what might be in it.
i used to live in an apartment complex with a pond and my neighbors would get drunk and puke and piss in it.

uhhh...why would you want to subject your operation to potential pollutants? Yes I know it is nature and all that but as you said it is man made. It has been polluted and tainted by people. Stick with clean, filtered, water.

not to mention how many eyes would be all over you luggin 5 gallon buckets of water back from the pond to your grow room twice a week. ;)

You are all right - thanks for your input - I guess it's bad enough that I put out these containers to capture rain water - hahahaha
