Whats a EC meter

Hello i orderd a ph meter but instead i got a ec meter what the hell is this for ?

EC I believe stands for electrical conductivity. It actually measures your PPM (or concentration of nutrient solution) I believe EC is how its done in europe, in the US we do PPM. Im not 100% on this, but thats my understanding.

are you using hydro ???
if so then it's a good thing you have it...if you want a decent PH meter, buy the HANNA champ....$50

Get some calibration fluid from the hydro place and test the meter, it should read the same as the fluid, if it dont there is usally a screw you adj. it with.

ok i just tested my tap water and it reads μS 700

the Nestle Pure Life water reads 115

and the sodium free drinking water reads 5 or lower
