I'm helping a friend because he dose not have Internet to look up info...

hes got 4 foot 2 bulbs CFL T8 fixture...

for vegetative stage should he stick with using 2 Daylight bulbs or mixing with 1 daylight and 1 worm white?

thanks.

Hello, This information is alleged from matter I've read on the subject.

6500k (Day light) are ideal for vegetative growth.
2700k (soft white) for flowering.

Although this site:

hxxp://www.pcgrowcase.com/cflgrow.htm

Says, and I quote "For a complete CFL grow, you should use both. Soft white mimics the spectrum of a HPS light, and is best suited for flowering. Daylight's color spectrum is like that of metal halide lights, and is excellent for the vegetative stage. (This applies to tubes too. Around 6500k for veg, around 2700k for flower.) "

Aren't T8's just fluorescent lights, and not CFL (Compact fluorescent)?

Hope that's what you're looking for!

yup, they are the 4 foot tubes.. not the small compact ones...
thanks..

Lighting is also about lumens. Make sure you are not tying to light too much space with your fluoro tubes. You want 3000 lumens per sq ft for vegging and 5000 lumens for flowering.

Those lights work good for clonning and about 10-14 days of veg, but thats it.

JMO.
