I follow the same advice. I can see only one little branch at the bottom that i might remove, but i would try to grow it out first. I usually force those lower branches to stretch out from the bottom to grab more light. Or its not really worth it

I have found that throwing a handful of hydroton in the bottom of my pots so there is a layer of air pockets at the bottom to improve drainage. Just another use. i do it anyhow. :) BTW whay did you pay for your 'speedster'- they are 40$ where i live.

In the first pic , your leaf is burnt and yellowing all around the edges. That's usually too much ' something ' is'nt it? I had a similar effect when i added too much cal-mag, it toxifies the plant until it either gets used or washed out. Not sure if this helps any.

If you had , the above two light set up. Could you get the same effect as a dual spectrum bulb by having one HPS and one MH? I was considering trying it as i read that the dual spectrum really helps in later flowering. Any clue?

I think Hushpuppy has the perfect set-up. I was just reading that a 600 watt covers only a 3x3 footprint and creates 2500 btu whereas a 1000 covers a 4x4 footprint and creates 5000 btu. I have used a 4'x4' space for four plants with no problem ,as long as you train them properly , like was mentioned. Your immediate issues WILL be with heat. I had to add an extra 6" intake just to keep the temps in range. Then again i'm not sure how much heat l.e.d. lamps create.

I'm glad to hear that about the Romulan. I really liked the look of the plant , it's REALLy branchy. Very thick growth. Also i found the same thing with the Willys. Fantastic yeilds but not quite up to snuff in the stone dept. I figure i will keep the Romulan and maybe pot of gold for mothers...
