Budding looks good

My plants are looking OK but I'm concerned that some of my lower leaves are a pale green and the ones at the bottom are turning yellow, while the tops of the plants are dark green. The buds are looking very good and are turning from translucent to a light white in color. I missed a watering and fertalizing interval a few days ago and our Northwest weather has been dry. I'm thinking it's only temporary, any thoughts will be helpful.
