i've got 3 plants that are now eventually bout 9/10" tall and really starting to fill out
i was wondering when i should start with the 12/12 light on them during their dark time?

Your plants will double or triple in size once you switch to 12/12, you then will see buds forming (assuming there female) in 2-3 weeks.

Depending on strain its a total of 8-15 weeks total flowering time.
