I took your advice -- I bought an EC meter and am trying to educate myself on this before going hydro. The information I have found (and they all seem to be a bit different from different sites) states the EC should be between 500-1300 ppm. Is this correct?
Also - am I using the EC to determine how much nutrients/water is being taken up by the plants in the reservoir or to see what my water is to begin with?
My water tested at 593ppm before nutes. So it seems a bit low. Now - How do you adjust that?
