Flowering Phase

When someone says flowering phase lasts 8-9 weeks does that mean when the flowers actually start to appear the plant has 8-9 more weeks or when you turn the light back to 12 hours?

i believe that it starts when you turn the lights back to 12/12 thats when the flowering cycle starts.So then approx. 8 weeks or even ALOT more depending on the strain of plant you got.But the avg. is around eight weels.:farm:

U got it right... start counting from the first day u cut the lights back.
