anyone know how to get rid of small flies/gnats in the soil? alot of them come up and ive killed as many as i could but they still seem to be coming out. are they harmful to the plants? i noticed my oldest plant is dying from what looks like yellowing of the leaves/ drooping and the stem by the soil is shriveling. hope this isnt caused by them cause i cant get rid of em, please help!

Dude, I got those dang thangs too....they can be pretty destructive...not so much the adults, but the larvae that lives down in the soil will eat away at your roots and kill your plant....they have some stuff,(I forgot the name of it), at the hydro store for about $30 bucks a bottle but it is strictly for these bugging pests. I haven't tried it yet but I am as soon as I get some more cash. Hope this helps ya bro.....:48:
