i switched over to hydroponics recently..well i just got my beans today..can i germinate directly into rockwool? and if so..should i soak it in the veg and mirco-nute solution b4 seeding? or seed directly,or with just water? and also the hydro guy said i can use rainbox mix organic nutes..(what ive been using in soil..) he said i can use them with my hydro because it has the moisture mat in it..if thats true lol how much a tsp per gallon like the concentrated nutes or more? *sigh* and thats all lol:eek:

I always germinate directly in the rockwool and never have a problem. I pre-soak the rockwool in plain water that is pH adjusted to 5.5.

You do not need any nutes until your plants are about 3 weeks old. Do not soak your cubes in any kind of nute solution--use plain water. And as pcduck and mick said, presoak the cubes in water pH'd to 5.5.
