is it safe to touch ceiling instalation?

i have to go in an attic and clear lots of instalation and wanted to know if it was ok 2 touch and breathe near it you know the fluffy white and pink and yellow crap

anyway dont the insulation to much as its microscopic fibres will get into your lungs and all over you itchiness and a sore throat.
