Light Time Change

I wanted to change my lights in the flower room from 8:00Am to 8:00PM ON to 8:00PM to 8:00AM ON to take advantage of off peak electricity rates. Would it be better to leave the lights off all day and let them turn on at 8:00PM to start the new cycle? I guess the question "is it better to them them sit in the dark longer or go one longer light cycle?" They are at 2weeks in this room.

imo i would leave them in the dark for the day ,like you suggested :48:

I was gonna do the same thing, and i was told to just do 24hrs of dark, then go right back to 12/12. Deff don't do 24hr light, as the plant may shift back to veg.
