Nute Question...soil nutes work with hydro?

In the sick plants thread, a discussion about nutes has me wondering...can hydro nutes be used for soil and vice versa?

:ciao: Roddy...I had by mistake Baught FF Grow Big ( Hydro ) and I grow in soil...My plants showed a high "N" deff...then relized what I did...I still have the Hydro GB but only use as a foiler feed now...Hope this helps

My question mainly is whether hydro nutes will help out in soil, or will the plants suffer/be harmed from the use? Sounds like you're saying the hydro nutes have differing values in some ingredients and could be harmful?

I have a buddy using Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Bloom hydro nutes in soil and doesn't seem to be having any problems. I offered to take it off his hands and order some soil nutes for him, but he said they were working fine.
