Pre season filter change

Funny I changed my filters today Hydrologic Small Boy not more than 2500 gal of use and this is what the particle filter catches. It should be as white as the cap next to it. This is Town water that we use every day.

I stopped drinking tap water years ago. My father was an engineer for waste water plants.

My sediment filter turned tan when some water works issue went down. Brownish water fo day or so. Had to remove sediment filter and clean it off.

Wondered about main filter, my manufacturer says when it doesn't filter anymore. If I run coldtap water a few minutes it will measure 250ish. Through the RO and it varies between 0 and one.
