New to soiless mediums. Bought Promix BX that comes with dolomite. Do you add dolomite lime or is there need for it? 1 cup per cf? Thanks:icon_smile:

I am not a soil user but about everything I have read and heard says use the dolomite lime for just about any soil as MJ really eats it up more than most plants, and I think it takes quite a lot to overdo the calmag, so even if you don't really need it, it won't hurt to use it anyway.

Yes, add the lime.
1cup/cf after expanding the bales. Will be 6+cf.

Thanks wet. Hoping to get 15cf with two bales and 40lbs of mushroom compost. Ill add the 15 cups of lime to the entire batch once i have it expanded and mixed well.

Im guessing when i make nouvelle's hot soil mix (1/4 the batch, same strength) I still add the dolomite for 5cf of hot mix. Even though i added it earlier?

No, you just add the lime once/grow.

You'll add it again when you recycle the mix of course.
