aprox. how much would one indoor plant produce under optimal conditions.

You will never get an answer to that question. There are too many variables. Me personally, I get five ounces off each plant, but I veg till about two feet tall and use a large producing strain - Ak47 and a 1000 watt HPS. But everyone is different. Every strain is different. To the police they consider 1 plant worth $1000.00 - here in Toronto anyways. Sorry I couldn't help more, but I don't believe anyone will give you a better answer than that.

Great post TGT, I have noticed some long time growers use a value of '2 grams a watt' as doing extremely well indoors.

2 grams per watt is a pipe dream... pipe... get it? You would have to veg for a while to get that... however 1 gram per watt is more doable... and still very respected by growers.
