Is there ever a time when you can look at an unknown strain and say definitively what it is? Or would it be limited to sativa v. indica?

Unless your a bad mofo it's gonna be either Sativa or Indica.

hey TBG, what I meant was.. is there ever a time you could tell what strain it was, or would you be limited to saying it was either sativa or indica, with no real way of telling anything else.

IMHO you wouldn't be able to tell the strain unless you knew where it came from.

And even then... depending on light and relative humidity and a few other things... leaf thickness can change.
