From start to finish, not knowing the genes, what techniques do you people use for growing bagseed vs. a feminized good strain seed

Bagseeds are hardy plants, they are wild weeds, specialist seeds have to most degree been protected from the harsh realities of nature.

Which= more chance for male plants because of stress?

I actually know a little bit about the bagseed. Its supposedly bred by my friends dad who has been breeding them for 20 some years. He let his daughters get a bunch of the seeds, and she gave me about 200 last year for free. The plant itself isn't supposed to smell that much, but supposed to have a kick @## toke to it. I have a friend that told me about it (his daughters boyfriend, also my friend) And he has also grown from these seeds

Heres what I do...when I grow bag seed i Place seed in soil and water..it seems to grow okay this way...I had some good strain seeds too..what i did was place seed in soil and water..they seem to grow okay this way too...Have yet to try Feminized seeds as you are stating here in thread start..but if you send me some..I will " Place seed in soil..and water " it should do fine...Im going to smoke my Bong now:ciao:

You have to grow bag seed in bags, that's why it's called bag seed.;) At least, so the little MJ gnome told me when he was running around the walls last night.

Hi FTG,

it depends on wether that bagseed was pollinated by a male on purpose or if it was the result of hermaphrodism.

Also,if this was seed taken from non herm plants that threw out a few late pistils and self pollinated, well then this seed will be all female and maybe very desireable.

But a coupla hundred seeds is more likely to be the fruit of hermaphrodism so you really need to ask the folk you got the seed from for more details and take it from there as if from a herm it will turn hermaphrodite in the subsequent generation and may cause havoc with your grow.

So I really do recommend you check this out as if from a herm you'd do better to grow something else out.

Hope this helps.

I have three "bagplants" growing now. That's three females out of a dozen seeds that I planted. They're halfway through flowering with no signs of hermies. One is a very nice looking indica, and the other two are identical crappy looking sativas that I am tempted to kill.
