Don’t know what it is...some kinda Lilly I suppose...

Looks so inviting, so pretty. And good air cause of all the plants. I love your floor.

Good air til Ol Gastric Disturbance there lets one rip!!!
That floor was a thc and ethanol fuelled project! Got it laid in 3 evenings of very sore knees! Glad it's done... still have 4 rooms and 2 hallways that need serious flooring work up to and including rmyearing out a former second kitchen that was cobbed from the get go. It may turn into a tissue culture lab if I can get my hands on the holy grail of rare hipster swiss cheese monstera plants...

So we were finally able to return to work to get our personal belongings today. The wife doesn't like all the plants in the house. I'm fortunate to have a greenhouse at work were I take the majority of my plants to each fall - the ones that fit into the Jeep at least. A select few get to stay at home.

A lot of them look sad. I have only been able to water once in the past 2 months. Someone watered them at least once I know though. I only say this because there was sitting water in one of my orchids that didnt have drain holes! I have no idea how long it's been sitting in the water, but the water smelled pretty bad.

I'm gonna spend the next few days, weather permitting (chances for rain over the next 3 days), repotting everything. I believe its @stinkyattic who always speaks of "sour dirt"? All my plants could use some new soil, new pots, and/or cleaning up. I also need to finish getting my veggies into dirt - a tomato, 2 cucumbers, and ghost pepper plant still remain.

Very nice plant porn.
I also love growing all kinds of plants. I love to clone my favorite plants. I have several generations of peppers and different flowers and such.
Great job Stinkyattic.

Oh wow @Caw ... wowww i see hoyas and a rattail and a nice fishbone cactus! I just got my first fishbone yesterday! I hope it grows up to be as nice as yours. Your porch looks so inviting and i just cant get over your plant collection. Jaw, meet Floor.

Yeah I know I sound like a broken record with the whole sour soil thing but I see it so much... too much water leading to anoxic conditions that change the whole nature of the soil, from pH to microherd to even messing up the texture as the fibers in it break down to mush... all the green leafy things enjoy some fresh dirt!

Those pics were taken right after taking them out of the car. They will be scattered and hung along the porch. And the sun loving ones will go to the back yard (where its south facing).

I do have questions of what some of them are. Ive gotten cuttings over the years from various coworkers and have forgotten names. You named a couple/few, but I can only figure out one. So, please help me out with plant types...

#1 looks like a sedum morganium
#2 aporocactus flagelliformis
#6 disocactus anguiliger
#7 kinda looks like amaryllis but without seeing flowers who knows
#8 looks like some type of hoya. So does #5 but I'm not good enough with them to ID the less obvious ones

In English, please...lol

If I remember correctly, the first plant was called hounds tail or something like that. 6. was zig zag (?), or something to that effect. All others I have no clue.

I've had the one in the 7th pic for a long time. It's only recently started to flower since being put in a large pot.

A few I've had for MANY years. Most all started as a small cutting.

And thank you for the compliment. But, yours look 100x better than mine.

#1 is also called burro's tail
#6 is zigzag, fishbone, ricrac, or simply orchid cactus. The flowers are like Easter cactus on steroids.
#2 is a rattail or as my friends call it, a Bob marley cactus because the variety I have looks like dreadlocks.
When you transplanted #7 was it bulbs or regular roots or could you tell? Amaryllis flowers... well, look at 2redeyes specimen above.
Thank you for the compliment... Mine only look decent because they're such easy species to grow haha they get neglected so badly but I'm trying to turn over a new leaf.
Get it?

I'll see myself out now : ]

#7 definitely had bulbs. But, the flower was MUCH different than the lily looking one above. One single, thick stalk, coming right out of the middle of the leaf joint, with a bunch of small flowers on it. Really cool looking. Again, it's only happened 2x in 10+ years - the last 2 summers in fact. I was pleasantly surprised.

Thanks for the info on my plants.

Hmmm now im really curious!!! Youll have to post pics next time it blooms! I seem to recall there are other flower forms closer to a wild type. The one above is a heavily hybridised variety.

Wow, what a collection @Caw my wife inherited a collection of cacti and succulent’s and I am very surprised that after a year or so, they are still alive and propagating...me, I can’t even clone pot...

First photo is our Merliton (chayote) vine. I built the raised garden for my wife. She likes Gnomes and Fairies. They’re everywhere
