I was a person that could eat burgers morning, noon and night and did so. Fixed them a million ways from Sunday. I think I have had somewhere between 15 to 20 total since Aug 10, 2022. I am sure all that snow in the 90's didn't help much either. What a reality check. Doesn't get much more real than that when they shove that thing up your wrist. Facker looks down at me as he starts and says I want you to know that one in 10 of these doesn't turn out so well. I told him I have an appointment with my primary care dude in a couple days maybe we should wait... His answer was - "In a couple more days, you wont be here." Made me rethink everything about life.

Had open heart surgery in 2013. And one stint since then.
I made many changes in my life.
I stopped using tobacco in any form the day of my surgery. I use very very little salt and hardly ever touch sugar .
Last check up my heart was still strong and my pipes were not clogged.
My heart meds have my Cholesterol in great shape and I have no high Blood pressure.
I am very active at my job so I walk a lot and climb ladders and stairs all the time.
Open heart surgery will wake your ass up in a heartbeat.

I Hear You. I got the Hammer from a Doctor in Chiang Mai last month. Basic Message......Stop Drinking. The Pain was a Wake Call. I stopped Drinking with no Problem, after that. Lost 27 Pounds. I feel a lot Better.

Highland Single Malt. Singha Beer. 3 Beers and 4 shots a Night. For the last 6 Months. Before that I only Dranks on Friday and Saturday Nights(For the last 10 Years. "Its not the Amount" The Doctor Said "Its The Fact That You Drink Every Day". I always thought I was a Moderate Drinker. Every Day isnt Moderate. I had Pancreatitis 2 Attacks, Both 3 days long, 2 weeks apart. The First Bout, I went to a Government Hospital. I didnt trust their Opinion. 2nd Bout I went to Private Hospital in Chiang Mai. MRIs convinced me. No Stones in The Pancreas, Its Booze. They say You Can Drink Yourself To Death here. I could probably do that anywhere. I didnt feel any adverse effects when I went Stopped.

I went from 6-7 days a week down to nothing for three years just to prove to my mother that I wasn't an alcoholic. Went back to hammering it five to six days a week after work. Tapered off to five, then after I retired, went to three, and now down to two. It's usually the only time I get out of the house and socialize with other humans. Cut back from three big drafts to two, too.
Ticker is just fine. Been through every test known to mankind. The one afib attack was right after getting half a lung carved out. Never had a flutter since, and only had the one once.
Ain't none of us gettin' outta this life alive, but I'll ride the pony as long as it's breathing.

Shots of hard liquor can mess up your liver in no time.
I drink nothing but lite beer. Don't touch the hard stuff anymore at all.
