if your new, do not get a mh, veg with a hps ballast(or get a switchable ballast)

400 watt MH is a great lamp for vegging marijuana but mostly when it comes to HID lights HPS is what people use for flowering because it produces a higher yeild

Also Freeze the plants are looking niceeee.. how far into veg do u have them? when are u thinking of flowering?

Metal H. are fantastic for vegg. wont produce same spectrum needed for higher yeilds
MPS FANTASTIC for vegg. does produce correct spectrum for flowering...fall sun...
