Help!!!!! Bugs Found

i have 7 plants goin at this time... they have been goin for around 3 months and have never had any bugs... but i recently noticed what looked like spider mites on the top of my soil especially when i water.... ther are THOUSANDS of them. they are little white moving specks....just like spider mites but the wierd thing is the bugs are not on the plant only the soil and there only in one pot.. can anyone tell me what these could be or what to do????? i have sprayed with soap for mites in the past on other plants but i dont know if these are them...

If they aren't budding sprinkle your plants and the dirt around your plants with sevin dust. I don't know if it will cure spider mites (if thats what they are), buts its worth a try.
