Cloning from plant 3 weeks into bud...

I found a person who came into a motherplant someone needed to ditch quickly... he has it in a room under **** lights now..getting some daylight... its about 3weeks into budding because of the conditions.. im trying to convince him to fix the plants situation..but he is mad stupid like that....so he said i could take some cuttings..what kind of shock time am i looking at if i took cuttings and tried to bring them back to veg... if i take a big branch.. and root it.. could i take a big section to make a mother because the plant is at least 4ft tall as it is now.. so i could prolly take a nice section off him...

A friend of mine gave me some cuttings of this Rock bud and they were about 3 weeks into budding. All of them died expect one and it still doesnt have roots. I have had fairly good luck with cloning and from what I can see it's difficult to clone budding cuttings.

I would try anyway. All you need is one to make cuttings off of.

She doesnt have any bud on her now but she still doesnt have roots.
