i am wondering if there is an obvious end point in all marijuana strains vegitive growth? when the new growth tips get small to the point of diminishing returns i guese? maybe someaody has a good way to determine, generaly when to move indoor plants to the HPS for flowering?

Also, the size of your space may dictate when you should switch. As plants will often double or triple in size when put into 12/12, space can be a factor.

Like Umbra mentioned, alternating nodes denote sexual maturity and the plants can be put into 12/12. However, you can theoretically veg a plant indefinitely if you want. When I first started growing, I kept mother plants and had one that was kept in veg state for years to provide cuttings for clones.
