pulling leaves off

ive been reading posts all over the forumn & other sites about pulling leaves off the plant at different times to help it grow or something

is this true?
what leaves do you take off ?
and when ?

also would like to know why so i can get an understanding of it all

I take off dead ones..thats it. the leaves are there for a reason.

some people remove leaves to allow more light but they are robbing the plant...it is better to tie or bend the plant down to allow more light.

no.. like 2dog said.. cut/pull of dead leafs but try to keep as much living healthy leaf material on as possible... the leafs need the light to produce the bud..not the buds need the light.. look at it this way.. solar pannels.. are what the leafs are lil solar pannels..
