Red dots

I found what looked like a little bug on each of my plants yesterday so I sprinkled water on them to get red of the "bug". It was really small, red in color and hard to see. Any idea what they were?

edit: I'm going to try the soapy water technique and see what happens. I put my plants in the window yesterday and made the newbie mistake of grabbing one of our other plants from the living room and putting it beside them to help conceal them... Guess it had bugs.

you got spider mites, for a home solution use a sparay with 50% water and 50% alcohol (90% if possible). then go to your hardware store and ask for a safe organic spray for mites,.

get to them quick cause those little bastards will kill your whole crop!! good luck :aok:
