water curing

So i am tryin to clear up a disagreement between me and a friend. My buddy is claiming that water cureing is the way to go and gives the best results and that most of clubs water cure there goods. I say he is full of ** and need some assurance that im correct. I have always cured in the jar with awesome results but he claims im missing out even though he has never water cured. and thoughts?

I cure in the jar, seems like the longer it stays in there the better it gets... The two clubs I go to the bud smells fresh, uncured they have it all stored in jars there and Ill buy some put it in a jar and within 2 weeks it smells like dank.... Dont get me wrong its dried just not cured..
