Since my water has cloromine in it I assumed it was bad for my plants.
For years I have been using rain water w hydrated lime mixed in,
{one little salt shaker 'shake' per gallon, ph corrected}
But since this is summer and it hasn't rained not to mention my car is dead forever.
I was forced to use tap water.

First thing I noticed was the plants loved it!
They are flourishing better than I've ever seen despite the cloromine.

I expected to loose my microcazi, but I can replace them in the fall.
But I am amazed that the plants are not bothered by the cloromine.
They are happy.

HA! I didn't save the article but I just read somewhere neither are much harmful, in fact, they need a little chlorine. Watered lawns seem to be doing okay.
I may try tap water on soil but I doubt I'd get anywhere with it in hydro, tempting.

Because of my concern about chlorine and chloramine, I used a Brita filter (in addition to letting my water sit out in 2 liter Gatorade bottles for days) to eliminate the stuff. I noticed my plants needed more cal mag as well as seemingly needing more of nutes in general. Now you’ve got me wondering if that is a function of the filtered water having less ‘fixins’ or if the microherd was just funneling all the nutrients to the plants more efficiently. I know my clones are looking whimpier than normal using the filtered water. Good food got thought Poet. Thx.
