What shows sex first usually?

Is there a difference between when a male or female will show it's sex? like are males quicker, or the other way around. just curious...

in my experiance the males are always your biggest nicest plants and do seem to show sex before the fem's

Pothead is spot on.

Males have to grow taller and faster than females, they need to get above canopy height of the females to drop pollen.

Growing inside or in the wild, this same approach is evident.

A tall plant can have its pollen blown a lot further than a short plant.

If you have a strong fast growing plant that is growing quicker than other plants, you gave an extremely high chance its male.

Yet saying that, we all know how females now and again dont follow normal rules and do something unexpected :rofl:

thank you guys so much, i have two plants right now and one is probably double in size of the other.. but both look beautiful so im not to worried as long as i get a lil smoke, thanks guys!
