Ok Here Goes..5000 years ago there was a highly advanced civilization of men and women Known as the mayans..they appeared on earth without any previous traces of them With two calendars that coincide with each other like cogs ..or gears ..when theses gears alighn we get our solstices..one was a 260 day count they called the Tzolkin the other was the average 365 day count known as the vaugue year..on december .12. .2012 this calendar ends..5000 years from when it started .there are many theories on 2012.one i will leave to Bearfootbob to explain the others i know of are as follows. Human conciousness is controlled by electro magnetism .it is a well known fact that human beings are vessels of energy.some places on the map have higher points of electro magnetism then others..Some People Belive that this is what creates a higher rate of anger/hostility and irrationalism in human beings. In places where there is always conflict there are some of the highest peaks of this electro magnetism..it is believed that in 2012 after earth exits a galactic wave that it has been traveling through since 3114 bce. the same time the first egyptian hyroglyphics appeared..That the electro magnetic poles on earth are going to switch..creating either peaceful human beings ..or simultaneously killing everyone..but if everyones dead..isnt that the same as being alive? barefoot bob?? you wanna take over?

"2012: the Return of Quetzalcoatl" is a good book to pick up if you're into buying books.
It is a multi-dimensional thing, this physical alignment of Earth with the Galactic core. It is the most significant cosmic event by orders of magnitude of any other within thousands of years. It is a big cosmic joke as well. It is scientific, religious, magical, and may as such perhaps be ignored by many, but what cannot be ignored is the rising of the water of consciousness.
Human consiousness expanding also puts us back in touch with all that was part of our spirit evolution, not in a backward way but biologically forward. Ancient gods, all sorts of demons, beings, faeries, which dwell in the galactic core come surging back into our world as our consiousness allows us to function in "larger" realities ~ this is why there has been and is such a surge in drumming and shamanism, not that everyone is turning into a shaman per se, but drumming and similar activities do alter the mind.
And cannabis of course, first revealed itself to the shaman, and I would hope goes without saying here, a magical herb, the popularization of which does have a direct correlation with this "quickening" and the largescale expansion of consiousness ~

The idea of all life on Earth being wiped out at the moment the planet's magnetic poles switch polarity has a bit of a Hale Bop tone to it. Some kind of warp core breach there, Captain. It's compelling as hell though, ain't it! Either way, have some good weed that night for sure. Be prepared boys and girls ~ the Big Whammy is a'coming!
There is something going on between some kind of magnetism and consiousness though. Perhaps it is the other way around, consiousness is able to control magnetism. The non-human crop circles are related to this I think.

if anyone is looking for a great book..i recommend (The Mystery Of 2012..Predictions.Prophecies & possibilites) i belive the author of.the Return of Quetzalcoatl has a section in it..[SIZE=-1]Daniel Pinchbeck. right?[/SIZE].anyway the book is great because it isnt one sided toward any one theory it is a compilation of theories.including that on that day in 2012 in like switzerland they are gonna start a crazy machine idk i will search the net for what i can on it ...and report back in an hour

We will have 2 weeks of sunbursts that will bring the earths surface temps in access of 120 degrees for that period of time. I too believe there will be some form of transformation that takes place on a dimensional/spiritual level.
i look at it more like a pot of boiling water and the evaporation would be your spirit per say. that's the best analogy i can come up with.
Whether we actuall cross dimensions, worlds, mind altering shift????? who the hell knows.
something will happen though. this is not like a Y2K thing. This will not be a product of our own reality but rather reality itself shifting. We are just along for the ride. I am eagerly, excitedly, anticipating, yet preparing. I'm preparing, spiritually, mentally, and rationally with basic necessities.

no friggin way. ima have to remember to pick up these books that stuff is crazy. any body watch lost?? ive heard similar theories about electromagnetism and the poles switchin and all that crazy stuff in lost

other dimensions, monsters, and free acid to see it all with. did a little research and the best/most realistic results i could come up with is from this site http://www.satansrapture.com/nostra2012.htm ...please dont get me wrong, i'm not a bible thumper or anywhere near it...but the people that did this research is also using science and our favorite stoner, nostradomus (<<<spelling). but...if we do have some other dimensions popping up, i got first dibs on the 7 boobed chick! just blazed a steamroller and like, whew. back to you with the weather....

I googled this stuff...I see that there is a physical astrological alignment happening...reading further I found that this occurs periodically, maybe every 26,000 years or so...
However, as to exactly what this alignment means to this planet and it's inhabitants I'm still confused...lot's of speculation and conjecture, but How strange a trip is this gonna really be???

honestly no matter what happens i am glad to be chosen ..much like everyone else for it..we are all pretty lucky to be the generation for such a thing..even if the milky way only matches up with the sun and earth and alighns....thats something in itself that generations before me have fallen before seeing..........AMAZING!

whether scientific, astological, religious or what not....something is supposed to happen.

religions are based on these ancient beliefs. They revolve around planets and stars example: christians worship the sun god "Jesus" sun of god, etc blah blah risin or resurrection......good vs evil, good winning with the sun resurecting each day only to be defeated by the god of sut or satan when night comes....
with the coming of the new age (an age is 25000 years) they chinese sign will change. from? to aquarius???? not on top of my astology ...sorry.
