Cane Sugar To Hydro

I read in many books that adding sugar will yield more bubs, is that true and how much sugar should I add? I already added some CANE sugar to my hydro ebb & flow setup. Thanks for any replies.

It is not a good idea to add any organic items like that into an active hydroponic system. Organics causes things to not look so hot in hydroponics because of the microbes and fungi that break down the organic matter. They can leave slime and gunk, which is not bad for your plants but can wreck havoc on your pumps and what not. It is usually Blackstrap Mollasses that most people use because of its properties and minerals, at a rate of about 1 tbls per gallon.
