hello i just started a garden of two. they were given to me from a friend. i have one question, is the daylight cfl bulb suitable for use as a grow light? its k value is 6500k.

well its good for veg if you have enough. 65000 k for veg, and 26000 k for flowering. k meaning kelvin. you should look in the light section it has all kinds of info

CFLs (plural, you are going to need a bunch of them) work well for vegging, but look into HPS for flowering. Head to the Lighting section and read.
