First time Orange Crush grow.
Just moved into the flower room 2 days ago.
600HPS lit in mini-hydrohut, using soil.
So far, so good.
Pre-flowering (already!) beginning stages.

Should I mist everytime I water, and is this done purely to keep humidity levels up? or wha...

check the PH of your tap water first. I use filtered water because my tap water is acidic. Yours probably is too, but check it. Distilled water is great.. dont mist yet, do you even have a hygro meter? I dont like the idea of misting, but some people do it. If humidity's off in the room, get a humidifier of dehumidifier. Humidity is really never a problem untill flowering, and thats rare.

What humidity level should be maintained in the hydro hut?

Still piecing things together as far as cooling, etc., but so far, so good.
Using fans to cool hood.

30-40 is where I would aim, late in flowering would be different tho.
