My lab took about 2 years to get out of the puppy/chewing everything age. Now the best dog ever.

Our German Shepherds have chewed up a fair amount of stuff due to separation anxiety, but the last one that we raised from a pup after I retired and was able to be around her most of the time, only chewed up one thing, and that was to pull the piping off the outdoor carpet on the patio.

My Snaughzer would drag all the rugs to the front door where you could barely open the fking door just to let you know he wasn't happy about being by himself. And don't leave a Kleenex box where he could get to it. He would pull every fking one of them out,,one at a time and they would be all over the house.
He finally stopped moving the rugs and we stopped leaving Kleenex boxes where he could get to them
