How and when do you choose a health mother plant to clone?

Most people start their grows with a pack of 10 seeds or so.
So you grow all of them, expecting to get maybe 4 or 5 females. Or maybe more.

You won't be able to separate the males until you have sexed them. This is done by taking cuttings, rooting them, and putting them under 12 hours of light a day.

Ideally, you take a clone from each prospective mother, grow and completely flower each clone.
Kill all males.
Dry, and cure the bud from each clone. Then decide which mother you prefer (maybe one tastes better, or maybe one produces significantly more).

Hope this helps :)

usually when they show sex. then just pic a girl you like and keep her under 24 hours of light. clip off branches and clone them!

sometimes you have to induce flowering before you can find a female, in that case just spot one and revert here back to veg.

After you put them into flower and they show sex, how do you revert her back into veg with the least amount of stress?

IMO.. the easiest process, is to take cuttings, lable and root them. Flower the plants from seed. Choose your "Mother/Donor" by the quality of the flowered finished plants from seed. Keep "that" labeled clone as your donor.
This saves the possibility of "ANY" stress from erratic light changes.
