    outdoor cages

I agree with this. I have also found that using insect screening greatly reduces air flow. I tested this a few years ago, plants inside the cage were not "fluttering" with the breeze like the ones placed just outside the cage. So I pointed a fan at the cage and sure as $#!+ the screening acts...

    Power Outtage

I'm a northeast coastal resident in an isolated area where a generator is a must. If for nothing else than to provide heat for the plants. I'm just a "better safe than sorry" person. Less stress for me & them.

    Tent Growers Club....

OK, so I use a small Sunbeam heater in my tent and even though I removed the red light that illuminates one of the dials, I noticed that when it cycles on, it emits a "flash" of white light. It only flashes for a split millisecond but with the inside of the tent being fully reflective it scared...

3 weeks after stopping chemicals and still not ready is this right?

O K, I know this is "nitpicky" and I'm an old codger but one of my simple rules: each new grow means a new notebook. Compile enough of them and you have your own private reference system. This is how we did things before the great inter-webby thing. green luck to you.........

BUG FOUND! Have picture, what is this?

Hmm... looks like a deer tick, a bit reddish maybe a trace of brown.....IDK 100% but where I am there are thousands of these little B@$+@rds. More harm to you & pets than your plants but I'm make'n a guess being the pic is so small.

Should I turn off my HID lights periodically?

Well, here's an example of a 400w MH bulb run 40 days at 24/7 in a glass sealed hood with 6" exhaust vent & fan. Maybe just a flaw in glass manufacturing--but I'll be giving the replacement bulb a "rest" on my next grow........

    MH Distance from foliage??

I ran my 400w MH 9" from the tops and don't have a cool tube. Glass bottom 6" vented hood. "General rule is: place your hand over tops of plants palm down--if the light hitting the back of your hand is too hot/uncomfortable--light too close. Please don't burn the ladies...........

    400w MH bulb defective?

Yeah, L H , I just e-mailed HTG they said send it back and it will be replaced. They told me that if I was in veg for 24/0 the light needs a rest once a week for 15-20 minutes. I'm in flower now with the HPS. Will use a different light schedule for the next veg. with MH or go floro. This indoor...

    400w MH bulb defective?

I just removed my MH to start flower and my bulb has a heat bubble. This bulb was run 24/0 for 40 days in a 6" vented hood with fan in ducting. Anyone ever had this happen?

    Tent Growers Club....

New to indoor growing. Compared to my outdoor grows, this NL at day 32 from sprout is the densest/compact plant I've ever had,8-9" tall. My question, is this due to light-400w MH, light schedule-24/0, or both? I'm guessing no dark period equals no stretch? I plan to start flower in 10 days or...
