I rinsed and dried a lg bag of hydroton. I added distilled water at a ph of 5.4, when I checked it an hour later it was at 7.1. The next morning it was at 9.2. Is this normal? should I ph down the mix while it soaks? Does it matter? Anyone have a answer for this one?
