150 watt sodium distance?

I want a mini SOG garden. just curious though, how close can i get a 150 watt sodium with glass lens to the tops of my plants.

I heard of one grower in here who gets his as close as 3 inches with no exhaust!

I have a light distance chart but the forum wont let me post it because i already posted it in another thread.

The chart says you can have your light as close as 4 inches with a 150 watt HPS

as close as you can, my air cooled 400hps is about 3 inches from the top colas!

plant age makes a huge difference, every person on here has a different setup and situation.

simply put:


lower light till plant leaves form ridges and raise upon edges. if the leaves roll inward, you've gone to far.
