Yeah thanks. It’s been mentioned before because I used MG. But I think it’s to late to switch them again. So next go around I’ll solve that one. I started another round of 5 seeds same strain last night.

Most all of us have used mj in the beginning.haha, yeah we were tripping.

So this is just for experimentation. I planted my males around one female that looked like it was lagging a little behind my other three females. I moved them all outside. The pistols started to brown on some of them. Is the female going to end up not budding? My other three plants have white pistols all over. This one not so much. I mixed the pot with some cedar chips in the soil before I moved them all into this pot. I was really just curious if I could get seeds. The males seem to be doing their job because if I move them they drop pollen.

Thoughts on the yellowing of these leaves. I’m guessing it’s a drainage problem that has been talked about before. But if it’s nitrogen I think I can fix that. Just not sure how.

I'd say more likely a calmag deficiency.but one can never be too sure.run your diagnosis tests, first the pH run off.it ain't unrecoverable bro.happy growing.

GET RID OF THE MALES! Pollen can travel for many miles. You are risking not only ruining your crop, but other peoples. Get rid of the males.

I'm with Ky on the soil. If this is your repot, your soil still needs tons more perlite or something similar.

yes, you are making seeds friend---more pollen = more seeds + less flower---i wouldn't sweat the discolored leaves at this point

Update to the females. One plant is very green and nice. The other two seems to be starting to yellow more and have brown spots to them. I think over all though they are doing well. Lots of pistol areas popping up which I’m guessing will be what turns into buds. I haven’t gotten around to pickup a soil tester and didn’t want to report these again. I’m just letting them run their course and do with I can with nutrition. I moved them outside today because it’s going to be a mid 70s day with no clouds so they can get some really heat and sun. Below are pictures of the three. I also started a new round of 5. 3/5 are already up and inch. Another one didn’t show up yet.

Please, please don't tell me that you have planted a male outdoors that can potentially pollinate any plants within miles of your home?!? I'm sorry, but this is just so irresponsible and rude.

Really. Rude?? Do you blame big company’s also for “ruining” others. You have no idea where I love and my surroundings, I live on 3 acres, no one within 8 acres. If someone wants protection from an outside source they should grow in doors. It’s not my responsibility to protect others females. Stop replying to my thread if it’s just negative **.

I agree that when you are very remote the vagaries of prevailing winds and resultant pollen diffusion take a lot of pressure off your own desire to create a seed backup. With nearest neighbors that far away, even a few seeds in their crop (assuming they have one) is indeed a peril of outdoor growing, similar to deer and rabbits lol. I think outdoor males is a rude move when you're on top of the neighbors and know they have plants. For sure. But the statistical likelihood of causing devaluation of a nearby crop decreases exponentially with distance. That's just math. : )
You will have your own seeds to put away for next year. And it's great you have the space to do it! Do you have veggies as well? That's a nice bit of real estate!

I do, 20x30 Veggie garden, fenced. My males surrounded by a line of fence, Sun flowers, few difference Veggies depending on the direction. been a weird season though for sure, because we had a very late freeze that killed off most of the early veggies. Picking back up now though. I do have one stunted female that I am going to throw in the yard to see what happens. She has very small leaves but has started to produce pistols so who knows lol. Worth a shot.

Late frost here too. It has been weird this year. I only just put my veggies in the ground this past week. Rather late! Sunflowers are crazy cool... and then you get cardinals in fall as a bonus.

Well day 48... I think I’m looking good. Definitely smelling good lol.

Ok well I have cut down about half of my girls. The bottom half of two plants does seem to be quite ready. So I am going in vacation for a week and I have some hanging. The rest will grow until I come back.
How do the cuts looks? Personal use only. Did i cut enough leaves off? Let me know if closer pics would help.

have them hanging in back room in basement.Dehumidifier keeping room at apx 50%.
Trying to figure out if there is any use for fan leaves. Teas or butter?

You might end up with an abundance of good bud and, by comparison, holding on to the fan leaves may not be what you want to do with your spare time. My values about fan leaves have changed over time. When pot was virulently illegal, any part of the plant was worth a look. But at least here in Oregon, hanging on to fan leaves seems like a hoarder's dream. Growers like myself can have an overabundance of high density pot by not even growing the legal limit. And the pot stores are far more plentiful than taverns. But your buds look good, and I suggest that you keep the sugar leaves on the bud. Those friends should have trichomes from mid-leaf inward, so you know that there's plenty of THC all throughout the leaves. Good luck and stay safe.

Well day 48... I think I’m looking good. Definitely smelling good lol.
I remember reading that if you've got a strong fragrance from the terpenes, you'll have strong potency in your buds. I guess you'll have a chance to test that out.
